Hello,
Thanks for the informative article. I was in June and unfortunately the Peak2Peak Pass was not available. But I can start my day in Zermatt very early, at 8 am. That being said, do you think it would be a rush to visit Matterhorn Glacier Paradise and Gornergrat in one day without the Peak to Peak Pass?
answer
Book Ryane,
Yes, it is possible to visit both attractions on the same day even without a Peak2Peak pass. I recommend starting with Matterhorn Glacier Paradise as it closes earlier than Gornergrat.greeting,

Can I also check how long and how often the cable car runs between Riffelberg and Furi? Thank you.

Hello,
The gondolas run all the time, so whenever you arrive, you'll be on one. But be sure to check the opening hours of the cable car from Furi to Riffelberg at the information center at the Zermatt train station or at the cable car base station. From Furi to Riffelberg it takes about 15 minutes.greeting,

Hello,
Thank you for writing to me. I'm giving you a rough idea of the timing of each step based on the timing marks I found on the photos.Step 1: First walk to the Matterhorn Talstat (valley station) and then take the Matterhorn Express (cable car). (12:00)
Step 2: Cross the Furi and Schwarzsee stations until you reach Trockener Steg. (around 12:30 p.m.)
Step 3: Change station and take the longer cable car from Trockener Steg to Glacier Paradise. (12:50 p.m.)
Step 4: After visiting the glacier paradise, return to the Trockner Steg. (approx. 13:25)
Step 5: Take the cable car from Trockener Steg to Furi (not the terminal). (approx. 1:30 p.m.)
Step 6: Then take the exclusive cable car from Furi to Mt Liffel. (around 14:10)
Step 7: Take the Gornergrat train from Riffelberg to Gornergrat. (around 15:25)
Step 8: Finally take the Gornergrat train back to Zermatt. (17:30)
The last train from Gornergrat leaves at 17:30 in the evening. Matterhorn Glacier Paradise is the first to be closed, so it's best to visit it first. You then have plenty of time to hop on and off the Gornergrat Railway as much as you like. Here you can also see all the places we explored on the Gornergrat Railwayblog. I hope you find this useful!
