Thank you for writing to me. I'm glad this blog was helpful for your trip to Switzerland.
Can I also check how long and how often the cable car runs between Riffelberg and Furi? Thank you.
The gondolas run all the time, so whenever you arrive, you'll be on one. But be sure to check the opening hours of the cable car from Furi to Riffelberg at the information center at the Zermatt train station or at the cable car base station. From Furi to Riffelberg it takes about 15 minutes.
I would like to go to Gronergrat first and then to Glacier Paradise, can I reverse the steps you mentioned above? Assuming I have to take the first train from Zermatt in the morning and back to Zermatt, how long will it take in total to visit both locations? Thank you.
thanks for the comment Glacier Paradise closes earlier than the Gornergrat Railway (around 14:00). Since it was almost noon when we arrived, we went to Glacier Paradise first. But if you have time, you can reverse the steps. Hope this helps! 🙂
Hi, I noticed that Glacier Paradise is now open at 4:30pm. Can I check if the 2pm you mentioned is only available in winter?
Thank you for writing to me. You should check the opening hours on the day of your visit at the information office next to the Zermatt train station or at the cable car base station, as the opening hours are constantly changing. The staff are helpful and will direct you to the specific lift times for the day. We came in July and were guided according to the schedule of the day. They also provide free maps and directions to help you plan your day. Hope this helps!
When using the Peak to Peak pass, how long does it take to complete each of the 8 steps? We are trying to plan a day on Matterhorn glacier paradise and Gornergrat.
